Setelah badai PHK pada tahun 2017 McDermott pada tahun 2018 mendapatkan proyek besar QP dan Maersk. Proyek ini akan dimulai Q1 ( Januari - April ) 2018 dan akan selesai 2021 / 2022. Setelah proyek terakhir Aramco pada tahun lalu, selang setahun McDermott kosong tidak ada proyek. Dikutip dari koran batampos, McDermott Batam telah membuka lowongan seperti dibawah :

Construction Manager
- Minimum 10 years experience in offshore construction as a Construction Manager
- Orissess Undergraduate degree and/or possess relevant experience
- Overall technical manager for project construction
- Responsible for management of all construction and coordination activities of an EPIC project or involving fabrivation and/or marine installation, such as Jacket, Platform, Top Side
- Manage the day-to-day construction management of the project, provide direction to the project construction team and make decisions in pursuit of the project objectives
- Lead employees through example
Structural Designer
- Minimum 3 years experience in offshore as a Structural 3D modeler or at Intermediate level of Tekla/BOCAD Structure
- Proficent in using Tekla 3D modeling and or BOCAD 3D modeling software latest version, creating GA and shop drawing, connection detail application
- Display knowledge of drafting principles, practices, methods and techniques
- Familiar with Offshore international codes and standard
All Dicipline Detailing Engineer
- Minimum 2 year experience in offshore construction as a Structural/Piping/E&I Engineer
- Detailed knowledge of fabrication & erection technique used for offshore platforms and associated codes and standards.
- Familiar with shop drawing development process and high ability to review drawings
- Preference to have ability to use Tekla/BOCAD 3D modeling software
- Preference to have The Institution of Engineers Indonesia Certification ( Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia )
All Dicipline Drafting Checker / Supervisor
- Minimum 4 years experience in offshore construction as a structural drafting checker/supervisor
- Proficient using AISC, API, AWS and all applicable offshore codes and standards
- Ability to use Tekla/BOCAD 3D model is an advantage
Dicipline Draftsman
- Minimum 2 years experience in offshore construction as all Dicipline Draftsman
- Proficient in using Autocad software latest version, Basic BOCAD/Tekla Structure modeling skill will be an advantage
- Familiar with Offshore international codes and standard
Untuk per Februari 2018 telah dibuka lowongan diatas untuk drawing gambar terlebih dahulu, selanjutnya posisi Fitter, Welder, Quality Control, Rigger dan lainnya akan segera menyusul.
